Arriving, finding a comfortable place, watching how a room works and learning one person's name can all be part of joining. Cambridge Common Tempo treats observation as a valid choice, not a delay that needs to be corrected.
A person can use the app alone before a gathering, beside a trusted adult, or as a source of ideas when preparing a generic activity. The app does not monitor whether any idea is followed.
Pair
One familiar or newly introduced person can make a first exchange more manageable.
Table
A shared object or activity can carry some of the conversation without forcing eye contact.
Circle
A wider exchange may suit someone who wants more voices today; it is never presented as the best choice.

The tools do not ask why
Pulse Picker and Place Mixer use supplied options only. They do not ask for a condition, diagnosis, disability, mood, reason, history, name or event date. A choice changes only what the screen suggests during that app session.
This matters because the same person may want a different rhythm at a different gathering. The app avoids converting ordinary variation into a permanent label.

Actual people and procedures remain in charge
An illustration cannot show whether a real entrance is open, a chair is suitable, a path is clear or assistance is available. Current venue information, an authorised organiser and the person's own judgement must answer those questions.
For urgent danger or a health concern, leave the app and contact the appropriate local emergency service or qualified professional. Cambridge Common Tempo cannot send an alert or receive a report.
