Privacy that matches the offline Android build
Version 1.0.0 has no Internet permission, account, advertising, analytics, telemetry, upload or free-text field. Read all 18 sections below.
Section 01
Responsible entity, scope and effective date
Cambridge and District Senior Citizen's Association Incorporated is responsible for Cambridge Common Tempo on Android. This policy applies only to version 1.0.0 of the app, package nz.org.cambridgeseniorcitizens.commontempo, and is effective from 10 August 2026. It does not govern another organization, an event organizer's records, a venue booking process, a government service or a website reached independently of this app.
Section 02
Intended audience and adult roles
The app is written for older adults, adult companions and whanau, adult volunteers, and adults preparing or hosting inclusive community gatherings. It is not designed as an unsupervised children's product. The app does not appoint a host, caregiver, committee member, emergency contact or other responsible person, and it never replaces the authority of an actual organizer or venue representative.
Section 03
Purpose and main functions
Cambridge Common Tempo is a large-type offline visual companion. Its supplied editorial scenes and fixed-choice tools help an adult think about arriving, choosing a comfortable place, joining at a preferred pace, making or sharing, taking a pause, hosting inclusively and leaving well. It is not a live programme, membership portal, timetable, booking service, attendance system, transport service, care service or venue-management tool.
Section 04
Information collected or transmitted
Version 1.0.0 does not collect or transmit personal information. The app has no Internet permission, network client, remote server, form submission, upload, cloud sync or messaging feature. Fixed choices made inside a tool are handled on the device and are not sent to the publisher or any third party.
Section 05
On-device preferences and session state
The app may store onboarding completion, reading-size choice, higher-contrast choice, Reduce Motion choice and visited-scene markers in private app preferences. Tool combinations are intended for the current app session and contain only supplied option identifiers. The app does not require a real name or create a participant record.
Section 06
Sensitive records, free text and personal content
The app contains no free-text field and does not request names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, membership details, attendance, event dates, health information, disability details, emergency information, financial information, photographs, audio, video, contacts or precise location. Users should not treat fixed choices as a place to record or infer sensitive facts about another person.
Section 07
Android permissions
The app requests no dangerous Android permission. It does not request Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, notification, health, nearby-device or broad-storage access. The operating system may provide ordinary application-process and display functions that do not give the publisher access to personal content.
Section 08
Accounts, login and account deletion
There is no account, login, profile, password, remote identity or cloud account in version 1.0.0. Account deletion therefore does not apply. Local app choices can be cleared from the in-app Reading Controls, from Android's Clear storage control, or by uninstalling the app.
Section 09
Advertising, analytics and third-party SDKs
The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, social SDK, remote crash-reporting SDK, telemetry service, tracking pixel or remote configuration. It does not create an advertising identifier profile and does not use fixed choices to personalize advertising.
Section 10
Sharing, disclosure and sale
Because the app does not collect or transmit personal information, the publisher does not share or sell app-collected personal information. The app does not disclose tool choices to organizers, companions, venues, advertisers, data brokers or other users. A person may voluntarily discuss an on-screen prompt outside the app; that independent conversation is not app data transfer.
Section 11
External links, contact and network behaviour
Core content works without a network and the app does not open web, phone, map or email intents in version 1.0.0. Programme Notes display source titles and purposes for transparency but do not fetch the cited pages. A separately deployed support website is outside the APK and must publish a policy consistent with this one.
Section 12
Retention
Session tool choices remain only while the app process is in use unless Android removes the process sooner. Accessibility preferences, onboarding completion and visited-scene markers remain in private app storage until the user clears them, clears Android app storage or uninstalls the app. No publisher server receives or retains those values.
Section 13
Deletion, backup and device transfer
Clear Local Choices removes the app's stored preferences and resets the experience. Android Clear storage and uninstall also remove app-held information. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app data, so the app does not intentionally restore its private preferences to another device.
Section 14
Security measures and limits
The app minimizes privacy risk by avoiding accounts, networking, sensitive inputs and third-party tracking code, and by keeping limited preferences in Android's app-private storage. No device or software can be guaranteed completely secure. Device access, operating-system security, screenshots created by the device owner and information shared outside the app remain under the user's control.
Section 15
Children, families and safeguarding
The app is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect children's information. It has no child profile, photograph, chat, check-in, attendance, location, contact or behavioral-advertising feature. If children are present at a real gathering, parents, guardians, organizers and safeguarding procedures remain responsible; the app cannot supervise or grant permission.
Section 16
Health, accessibility, safety and professional limits
Comfort, seating, pace, light and sound prompts are general participation ideas. The app does not diagnose, treat, monitor or prevent loneliness, mental-health conditions, falls, disability, illness or any other condition. It does not certify accessibility, building safety, capacity, evacuation, food safety or suitability. Users must follow current venue instructions, qualified advice and emergency services.
Section 17
Policy changes and user choices
If a future version adds networking, accounts, advertising, analytics, contact, uploads or another material data practice, the publisher must update this policy and the relevant Play disclosures before that behaviour is released. Users can choose not to use a tool, change reading controls, clear local choices or uninstall the app at any time.

Policy version 1.0 was reviewed on 10 August 2026 for app version 1.0.0. Do not send health, emergency or other sensitive information with a privacy enquiry.
